Many people might have come across these kids with flipped faces, either through stickers, scented candles, or inhaler. But I’d like to share that these kids have their own stories.

The Flipped Kids were developed gradually from the concept of Flipped Face, continuing the idea of “seeing the world from different perspectives” but with a stronger emphasis on fundamental roots.

Though “different perspectives” is the big idea of this project, equality is the essence, advocating for equality in a world that isn’t always fair, in terms of gender, race, and more.

Equality equals happiness. What Flipped Kids aim to create is “seeing different perspectives to find happiness,” because happiness should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their form or viewpoint.

When we have children, we often think about what kind of media we want them to grow up with. Flipped Kids, on the surface, appear ordinary, but they hide various details. They include kids who want to be DJs using just soil and rocks to play turntables, Patch doll those who choose repairing over buying new things, kids who sit in wheelchairs but can be heroes in their own way, Kids who still love paper books in this tablet-filled era, those who love animals but understand the importance of coexistence, and those who find joy in various role plays, among many other forms of happiness.

The communication of Flipped Kids doesn’t solely rely on visual art but conveys happiness through various creations like Flipped Fruit candies or scented candles, meant to ensure every breath you take is filled with happiness, coffee beans meant to awaken happiness in everyday life, and stickers with witty phrases to make you smile. We also want to create picture books, and our art is currently in development.

I didn’t do all of this alone; I would say I barely did anything other than managing the ideas. I have to thank the friends around me who wanted to bring Flipped Kids to life, allowing them to have a life full of convenience and happiness in their own way.

So, whatever form of happiness you have, feel free to share it with us.
